HYZON Motors Inc. opens Europe's first hydrogen truck production facility

US-based company HYZON Motors Inc. has announced that it will open Europe's first fully dedicated hydrogen truck production facility in Groningen, The Netherlands.
The company is expected to deliver and ship hundreds of heavy fuel cell trucks by the end of 2021.
The opening of HYZON's production facility in Europe follows the recent strategy on a hydrogen economy published by the European Commission. As such, the EU’s $140 Billion hydrogen plan and the recently unveiled $9 Billion National Hydrogen Strategy for Germany, HYZON’s initiative is at the heart of post-Covid-19 economic recovery efforts which are expected to have a strong focus on sustainability.
HYZON's core technology is high power PEM fuel cell modules with world leading power density and efficiency. HYZON Motors Inc. and Holthausen B.V. have joined forces to produce zero emmission heavy duty commercial vehicles to reduce emissions caused by diesel-powered heavy duty trucks.
